Faithful God

Faithful God

God has proven down through the years that He is a God who can be depended on. He’s Faithful!

Even in the seasons where we couldn’t fully understand why things worked out as they did, the blessed assurance that we have is knowing without a doubt HE IS FAITHFUL!!

Even in uncertain times today and a rapidly changing culture, our anchor holds firm in knowing…

“QUOTE” – Seasons may change, people may change, and opportunities may fade away… but our God remains FAITHFUL

1 Thessalonians 3:1-3 TLB – Finally, dear brothers, as I come to the end of this letter, I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and triumph wherever it goes, winning converts everywhere as it did when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be saved out of the clutches of evil men, for not everyone loves the Lord. But THE LORD IS FAITHFUL; he will make you strong and guard you from satanic attacks of every kind.

FAITHFULNESS is an attribute of the character of our God. It’s not what He does. It’s who He is.

Faithful

(Dictionary)

strict or thorough in the performance of duty; trust to one’s word, promises, or vows; reliable or trustworthy; one who can be depended on

Faithful in Every Season

Psalm 138:7-8 GNT – When I am surrounded by troubles, you keep me safe. You oppose my angry enemies and save me by your power. YOU WILL DO EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PROMISED; Lord, your love is eternal. Complete the work that you have begun.

It is important to be reminded that God is true to His word and will do everything He promised.

Despite what our feelings or our circumstances may tell us, there is never a time in our lives where God will abandon us, let us down, or quit on us. He is Faithful in EVERY SEASON!!

Jeremiah 1:4-5 MSG – This is what God said: “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations — that’s what I had in mind for you.”

God had greatness in mind when he created each of us

“QUOTE” – Because Satan sees God’s supreme love for mankind, he tries everything to derail us from our Higher Calling

EXAMPLES – Illness, Accidents, Impoverished Upbringing, Dysfunctional Family Systems, Instability, Parents Passing Away while you were Young, Abandoned by Father/Mother, Incarceration, Drug Addiction, Illiteracy, Teen Pregnancy, Divorce, Being Molested

“QUOTE” – It hasn’t been luck or good fortune that has brought you to this point in your life. It has been God’s faithfulness in every season of your life

God Has an Expected End for Us

The Father is not making up our story as we go along. He has a destination in mind.
(EX. Like driving in a car with young kids. Parents know the destination… kids may not)

Jeremiah 29:11-13 GNT – I ALONE know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. Then you will call me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you. You will seek me, and you will find me BECAUSE YOU WILL SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART.

God has an expected end for us when we seek Him with all our hearts

Time to STOP settling for the life Satan is willing to let us have

We must become convinced of the reality that God is trying to take us somewhere great!

Philippians 1:6 MSG – There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.

We Are a “Work” in Progress

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV – For we are His WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Product; tapestry; poem

We are God’s “Poetry in Motion”

“QUOTE” – When our live line up with God’s will, we flow like a masterful rhyme

The beautiful thing about life with God is that He know all of our faults and loves us anyway

He’s not expecting us to be ALL THAT. He’s expecting us to surrender ALL THAT

If we give Him something to work with, He can make a miracle out of all our broken pieces

We Must Abandon All Excuses for Quitting

CONTEXT

God has just taken care of Moses in the desert for 40 years. He appears to him in a burning bush and wants to send him back to Egypt to deliver the Children of Israel. Moses feels inadequate because he doesn’t think people will believe God sent him. God does several miracles before him to encourage his faith. Moses responds, “but I don’t speak well.” God’s answer back — “Who made man’s mouth?”
In other words, I GOT YOU.
Moses still pleads with God to send somebody else.

Exodus 4:14-16 NLT – Then the Lord became ANGRY with Moses. “All right,” he said. “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well. And look! He is on his way to meet you now. He will be delighted to see you. Talk to him and put the words in his mouth. I will be with both of you as you speak, and I will instruct you both in what to do. Aaron will be your spokesman to the people. He will be your mouthpiece, and you will stand in the place of God for him, telling him what to say.

God altered the entire plan to accommodate Moses’s insecurities. He understands who we are!

“QUOTE” – God will ALTER the plan to accommodate where we are, but He won’t CANCEL the plan to accommodate how we feel

It’s time to eliminate all excuses and pursue God’s purpose!!

Because He’s Jehovah Jireh (the One Who Sees in Advance), He’s already provided everything necessary for our journey of faith. All He needs now is YOU!

He’s not even moved by the mountain of failures you think have held you back

It’s time to step out of the boat of comfort and step into the awaiting arms of the Faithful God. He’s proven it before and He will prove it again: He is FAITHFUL IN EVERY SEASON!
